What Are Your Prices?

We like taking lots of great pictures and letting you choose the pictures you like and want to pay for. You can find details about how our pricing works here.

When Should I Schedule?

Our schedule fills up very quickly, so please schedule your photography sessions as soon as possible so that we can reserve your date. In the event that you need to reschedule your session, be sure to let us know as early as you can.

Where Can I Have My Pictures Taken?

When selecting locations for your photoshoot, please review our locations page or invite us to try somewhere new (we love this!).

How Can I Best Prepare for My Photo Session?

Here are a few suggestions:

  • Outfits: For senior sessions, we recommend only one outfit change at the most. More than that will limit the total number of photos you have to choose from because daylight will be spent on changing outfits instead of taking pictures. Outfit changes are not recommended for family sessions.

  • Props: You are more than welcome to bring your own props to your session. It really helps us out if you let us know what kind of props you will be bringing so that we can plan accordingly.

  • Spectators: You don’t need to bring extra people along to the session unless you want to. We want to capture you feeling comfortable, and the more spectators you bring along, the more difficult that may be.

  • Specific Framing: Please let us know if you are planning to make prints of a specific size so that we can frame shots with plenty of room to make the necessary crops for your print (see information about photo prints here). Also let us know if you are looking to replace a specific image that is either in a vertical or horizontal orientation so we shoot your pictures the right way.

Can I Show You My Pinterest Board?

Of course! We will have a lot of excellent shots in mind for your session, though, so a Pinterest board isn't strictly necessary or required. However, sharing a board with us can be a really easy way for us to figure out the style of shots you love. It's also much easier to show us an example of a shot you're interested in than to try to describe it. If you do decide to share a board with us, please do so before the photo session! While we love to see new ideas, keep in mind that because of lighting, location, or weather we may not be able to reproduce the pictures you love on Pinterest or Instagram. We would also encourage you to take a look through our recent work and find (and pin!) images that you love there -- those are definitely the pictures we know the most about.

What Happens After My Photo Session?

Shortly after your session, we will send you a link to a selection gallery that you can use to choose the pictures you want finished. These images will be watermarked and completely unedited and are not intended to be recirculated or used in any other way than for you to be able to make your selection of images to be edited. While we make every effort to edit the exact images you choose, we may need to swap a picture you chose with a similar picture from the gallery if you select a picture that is out of focus or unusable in some other way. The pictures from your session will be finished within 3 weeks of the day you send us your selections. When they are finished, we will share a link to the edited portraits as high quality JPEGs for you to download.

Our editing process is explained here.

When Is Payment Due and What Types Are Acceptable?

Your total will be given to you after you have selected the pictures you want edited. Payment is due in full prior to receiving the finished pictures. We accept payment by check, debit card, bank transfer, and credit card.

How Do I Order Prints? What Sizes Should I Get?

Getting pictures printed is essential! Check out our our page on photo prints to be sure and get the most out of your printed pictures.

How Long Do You Keep a Backup of My Images?

We try to maintain (but do not guarantee) a backup of every edited picture we take. However, because of the large file sizes of many images, we do not maintain a backup of all of the pictures from your session indefinitely. Please be sure to download and backup your photos as soon as you possibly can so that they are secure for the future.

How Does Bright Angle Use Pictures from My Sessions?

We retain ownership of the photos while granting you full printing rights for personal use. Our use of the images is restricted to business purposes, such as advertising and portfolio material, which means we will post them on our website and Facebook. If there are legitimate reasons why you would like your images to not be shared online, please let us know and we will take that into consideration.
